Plastic welding rods PC/PBT - Polycarbonate / polybutylene terephthalate
PC/PBT, also PC+PBT, has high rigidity and low shrinkage. To use this blend of PC and PBT is used in cases in electrical engineering and in vehicle. Painting with water-soluble paints usually possible without pretreatment.
Polycarbonate / polybutylene terephthalate (PC/PBT) is a thermoplastic plastic blend of polycarbonate and polybutylene terephthalate. In this connection it is a high-quality, very dimensionally stable plastic. PBT increases the friction and wear characteristics of PC. PC/PBT is resistant to water, many mineral acids, hydrocarbons and many oils and fats. The melting point is approx. 225°C, the continuous use temperature at max. 110°C.
