Plastic welding rods PP-ET2X - Polypropylene modified
PP-ET2X is resistant to almost all organic solvents and greases, as well as most acids and alkalis. Polypropylene modified is used, for example, in vehicle construction, here especially for bumpers, spoilers and side panels, as well as in container construction.
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic material produced by chain polymerisation of propene. It belongs to the group of polyolefins. Polypropylene has excellent fatigue resistance. It is the second most frequently used plastic worldwide after PE. Polypropylene is suitable for injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion, hot forming, welding and deep drawing. PP-ET2X is specially tailored to the requirements of manufacturers, for example the automotive industry. PP-ET2X is very difficult to varnish, print or glue without suitable pretreatment. The melting point of modified PP is approx. 160°C, the continuous service temperature at max. 100°C.
