Plastic plate PE-HD - Polyethylene "high density"
HDPE has slightly branched polymer chains, resulting in high-density (HD). Polyethylene is the most widely produced plastic. Examples are the use of container construction, pipes, bottles and films.
High-density polyethylene (PE-HD), also HDPE, is a thermoplastics produced by chain polymerization of ethene. Polyethylene belongs to the group of polyolefins. It is the most widely used plastic in the world. PE-HD is characterized by high chemical resistance, good electrical insulation and good sliding properties. Polyethylene is of low strength, hardness and stiffness. It has high ductility and impact strength. The melting point of PE-HD is approx. 135°C to 145°C, the continuous use temperature is max. 90°C.
